The Nano Nagle Trust is very grateful to all who supported our recent fundraising activity: The Conclave with Cardinal John Dew. Cardinal John shared his experiences of attending the funeral of Pope Francis and of participating in the Conclave to elect Pope Leo. It was an engaging and informative afternoon and we were truly blessed with Cardinal John's presence back to where he began his priestly formation about 50 years ago.

The Nano Nagle Charitable Trust was formed by the Presentation Sisters www.presentationsistersnz.com and Friends of Nano in 2009 to support children who are unable to attend a Catholic School because of financial hardship.
Over 285,000 children in New Zealand are living in poverty: that is they live in households earning less than 60% of the median New Zealand house-hold income.
Children attending Catholic Schools are not exempt from this deprivation and many parents are finding that they have to choose between buying food and paying for electricity or sending their children to a Catholic School.
The costs for a child to attend a Catholic School are significant: Some families are faced with considering having to withdraw their children from a Catholic school for financial reasons.
This impacts adversely on the child, the family and schools.
Over the past four years the Nano Nagle Trust has paid approximately $100,000 dollars to support children to attend Catholic Schools.
What we fundAny education costs to support individual children to attend a Catholic School.

How are we fundedWe are totally reliant on fundraising and donations.
We pay approximately $30,000 annually to meet the demands of applications and we can do this only because of the generosity of our donors |
